College athletes wishing to apply for FTF Combine Series should check with their school’s compliance officer and college coach to make sure that applying to the combine will not affect their college eligibility. Different governing bodies (NCAA, USPORTS, CCAA NAIA, JUCO, etc) have different regulations and the FTF Canada will not take any responsibility regarding your collegiate eligibility.
Information regarding registration and logistics will be provided once accepted.
Amatuer Opportunities: Every Amatuer league in North America (NCAA, USPORTS, CCAA, NAIA, JUCO, etc.) will be invited to the event.
Professional Opportunities: Every professional club in North America (MLS, USL, USL D-3, NPSL Pro & the Canadian Premier League) will be invited to the event. There are a handful of international clubs in our network that will also be invited to attend.
Each selected participant will train for 5 hours on the first day of the combine. On the second day each player will participate in 2, 60-minute matches, all of which will be viewed by amateur & professional scouts, coaches & agents at the venue as well as online.
We will be providing every accepted participant with a dry- fit jersey that must be worn on both days of the combine. This jersey will have your identification number on the back for the coaches and scouts to identify throughout the 2 days. Participants are responsible to wear their own soccer shorts and socks (preferably black), along with shin guards and cleats.
Our FTF Combines are unique in many different ways.
First, we value Quality over Quantity. We have strategically set the number of selected participants at 80 to give all participants ample opportunity to showcase their talents and be evaluated.
Secondly, by dividing the age groups there are opportunities for both the Amateur or Professional soccer journey. The under 18 age group will only be competing against their group while the over 18 age group will only compete against their group. This will give the players a fair chance to prove themselves against individuals who are relatively the same physically and mentally.
Thirdly, after attending our combine the journey doesn’t stop. Now that we have been able to see your abilities and talents we can now refer you to multiple opportunities our team gets notified of on a daily basis. Whether that is through our network of collegiate coaches or agents, scouts, and professional teams we can reference players for opportunities that present themselves.
Finally, one of the functions of FTF Canada is that we are a digital sports media company. With this being said we will be live streaming the 11v11 matches that take place on the 2nd day of our event for coaches, agents, and scouts that were unable to travel to the event. We will also be providing a free highlight tape to the MVP, Best Defensive Player, Best Attacking Player, & Top Goalkeeper of each combine for both age groups. Having a highlight tape is very important for any player in their soccer journey.
Players are vetted intensely to ensure quality over quantity. Players will be selected to the FTF Combine Series based on their Technique – Game Intelligence- Mindset – Personality – Physique criteria. Furthermore, the following data will be examined: player’s date of birth, Canadian- citizen vs. non Canadian citizen, dominant foot, positional play and playing history. During the application process player’s will also be asked to submit recommendations/references and provide recent video footage (full length matches + highlight video), which will be analyzed in the player screening process.
