Oregon State Forward Glorie Amanda has really solidified his name as a young rising star that Canadian soccer fanatics should be excited about. After bursting onto the scene as a Freshmen in 2018 with eight goals scored, Amanda looked like a shell of his former self as a Sophomore in 2019. The Edmonton, Alberta native took the NCAA by storm in his junior season by showing critics he still has what it takes to be a productive offensive force.

The Burnaby Central Alumni led the NCAA in scoring in 2020/21 netting an astonishing fifteen goals in only thirteen games played. Amanda scored over a goal a game at a 1.15 pace for the Beavers while also managing to record seven assists to increase his total to thirty-seven points on the season. Amanda is currently ranked as the No. 1 player in the Nation according to Top Drawers Top 100 Rankings updated April 9th, 2021.

Since the age of 15, Amanda has been training and learning in a professional environment as a member of the Vancouver Whitecaps Youth Academy. On March 31st, 2017 Amanda signed his first professional contract with Whitecaps FC 2, the Vancouver Whitecaps Reserve Team who competed in the USL Development League. Amanda played one season for Whitecaps FC 2 appearing in twenty-seven games and recording three goals. He also played one season for Park United FC in the Premier Development League in 2018.

Glorie Amanda is clearly one of the brightest young stars in Canadian soccer. After putting together a historic 2020/21 campaign, Amanda will hope to build on his strong performance in his senior season before continuing his career at a professional level.
