Welcome To The 4th Annual FTF Family Day Showdown

Dates: Saturday February 13th – Monday February 15th, 2027

Location: Richmond, British Columbia

Age Groups

Showcase Age Groups: (U18 – 2008/2009), (U17 – 2010), (U16 – 2011)

11v11 Tournament Age Groups: (U15 – 2012) and (U14 – 2013)

The FTF  Family Day Showdown aims to provide a top quality showcase experience for the older age groups (2011 and up), and an introduction to the high level tournament experience for the younger age groups (2012&2013)

Identification

FTF will be inviting our contacts from NCAA, USPORTS, CCAA, NAIA, and JUCO to evaluate the talent in person. We encourage teams and players to reach out to programs of interest and invite them to attend as well. 

Tournament Format

Each team is guaranteed 3 round robin games as a participant at the event, played over the course of Saturday February 14th and Sunday February 15th, 2026.

*Semi Finals and Finals will be played on Monday, February 16th, 2026.

*All games will be 60 minutes long, played between 8 AM and 9 PM. 

NEW FOR 2026: FTF Competitive Index™

To further improve the quality of competition and overall event experience, Fall Showdown will introduce the FTF Competitive Index™.
During registration, teams will select the two tiers that best represent their current level of play. This information helps our team create stronger matchups, improved competitive balance, and a better overall experience for players, coaches, and clubs.
The goal is simple: Create meaningful competition at every level.

TEAM CLASSIFICATION TIERS
Tier 1 – Elite Level
Teams competing at the highest level within their age group nationally. This includes league leaders and top-performing teams in OPDL, APDL, BCSPL, PLSJQ, I-Model programs, and top-ranked district leagues. These teams are recognized as among the strongest in the country.
Tier 2 – High Performance Level
Highly competitive teams that consistently perform at a strong level and are approaching elite status. This includes mid-table teams in OPDL, APDL, BCSPL, PLSJQ, and I-Model programs, as well as top-ranked teams (typically top 2–3) in district leagues.
Tier 3 – Competitive Level
Teams that demonstrate solid competitive ability within their respective environments. This includes mid-table district and I-Model teams, as well as teams competing in the lower standings of top-tier leagues such as OPDL, APDL, BCSPL, and PLSJQ.
Tier 4 – Development Level
Teams focused on development, participation, and gaining competitive experience. This includes recreational and district-level teams not primarily competing for top standings or exposure.

The FTF Competitive Index™ is designed to support the competitive integrity of Fall Showdown while helping ensure teams are consistently challenged against appropriate opposition throughout the event.

Please Note: Team tier selections are used as a placement tool and do not guarantee division placement. Final placement decisions remain at the discretion of the FTF Events Team.

Awards

 A ‘Player of the Match’ from each team will be announced after every game has concluded. Standout players will be further recognized via an article on ‘The Playbook’. A ‘Tournament MVP’ will be awarded to the best-performing player. Lastly, a ‘Tournament Champion’ will be crowned with a team trophy + awards.  

All awarded players will be posted on FTF’s social media to increase the exposure of the players.

Registration Guidelines

• Any team interested in participating in the FTF Family Day Showdown must submit their application along with full payment
• Teams will be conditionally accepted with details to follow
• Additional Team Registration forms will be sent to teams once accepted.
• Upon acceptance, registration fees are non-refundable.

FEE’S

• (U14 – 2013) & (U15 – 2012) Tournament Fee – $1750
• (U18 – 2008/2009), (U17 – 2010), and (U16 – 2011)  Showcase Fee – $2000
