Team Classification Tiers
To ensure a high-quality and competitive environment, teams are categorized into the following tiers based on their current level of play and league performance:Â
You must select (2) Tiers that you feel describes your team best and this will help determine your level.
Tier 1 – Elite Level
Teams competing at the highest level within their age group nationally. This includes league leaders and top-performing teams in OPDL, APDL, BCSPL, PLSJQ, I-Model programs, and top-ranked district leagues. These teams are recognized as among the strongest in the country.
Tier 2 – High Performance Level
Highly competitive teams that consistently perform at a strong level and are approaching elite status. This includes mid-table teams in OPDL, APDL, BCSPL, and PLSJQ, I-Model, as well as top-ranked teams (typically top 2–3) in district leagues.
Tier 3 – Competitive Level
Teams that demonstrate solid competitive ability within their respective environments. This includes mid-table teams in district/ I-Model leagues and teams competing in the lower standings of top-tier leagues such as OPDL, APDL, BCSPL, and PLSJQ.
Tier 4 – Development Level
Teams focused on development, participation, and gaining competitive experience. This includes recreational and district-level teams not primarily competing for top standings or exposure
