FTF Canada Top U17/2008 Girls Teams in Canada (July 2025)

July was another action-packed month for U17 girls soccer across Canada, with top teams from coast to coast making their presence felt in league play, provincial cups, and showcase tournaments. 

FTF Canada is proud to spotlight the top U17 girls teams in the nation for July 2025, each earning their place through impressive consistency, elite talent, and key results in competitive leagues.


🥇 1. AS Blainville (PLSJQ – Quebec)
Record: 8 Wins, 0 Losses, 1 Tie
Key Result: 3-0 since last update, including a draw against CS Longueuil.
Outlook: Sitting firmly at the top of the PLSJQ, Blainville has proven to be the most dominant side in Quebec.

🥈 2. Pickering FC (OPDL – Ontario)
Record: 7 Wins, 0 Losses | 35 GF | 3 GA | +32 GD
Key Result: Perfect in OPDL league play, though they fell short at Umbro without key players (Clare Ormonde, Soleil Elliott, Adeline Mantie).
Outlook: When at full strength, this team has one of the highest ceilings in Canada.

🥉 3. CS Longueuil (PLSJQ – Quebec)
Record: 7 Wins, 0 Losses, 3 Ties
Key Result: Unbeaten in PLSJQ, with a key draw against league leaders AS Blainville.
Outlook: Disciplined, consistent, and a proven challenger for the Quebec crown.

4. Calgary Rangers (APDL – Alberta)
Record: 12 Wins, 2 Losses, 1 Draw
Key Result: A relentless attack and strong midfield have powered them through APDL competition.
Outlook: Their balanced style makes them one of the top western contenders.

5. CMFSC (BCSPL – British Columbia)
Record: 8 Wins, 2 Draws | +39 GD | 4 GA
Key Result: Undefeated in league play, conceding just 4 goals all season.
Outlook: Strong defensively and dangerous in attack, they continue to dominate BC competition.

6. Calgary Foothills (APDL – Alberta)
Record: 11 Wins, 2 Losses, 2 Draws
Key Result: Consistent across APDL, though missing Clara Monck (National Team duty) for PDP Cup.
Outlook: Remain a powerhouse in Alberta with depth and star power.

7. Glen Shields Juventus (iModel – Ontario)
Record: Umbro Super Cup Champions
Key Result: Defeated top sides en route to winning the Umbro Super Pro Division.
Outlook: Showcase pedigree is elite, though inconsistency in league play keeps them from climbing higher.

8. Fusion FC (BCSPL – British Columbia)
Record: BC Provincial Cup Champions
Key Result: Defeated Surrey United to claim the Provincial Cup.
Outlook: Booked their spot at the PDP Cup and will look to prove themselves against Canada’s best.

9. Rush Academy Canada (OPDL – Ontario)
Record: 7 Wins, 1 Loss, 1 Tie | 19 GF | 10 GA | +9 GD
Key Result: Only loss came in a narrow 1-0 defeat to Oakville.
Outlook: Their mix of technical quality and physicality makes them a dangerous matchup.

10. Suburban FC (NSSL – Nova Scotia/PEI) 

Record: 13 Wins, 1 Loss, 3 Ties

The strongest group coming out of the maritimes. Their dominant record speaks for itself.
