FTF Canada continues to create strong pathways within U SPORTS, as alumni Alecia Palmer has officially committed to the University of Calgary and the Calgary Dinos women’s soccer program.
A product of Surrey United Soccer Club, Palmer earned her opportunity through consistent performances across multiple FTF Canada events, including the Vancouver March Break 2025, Vancouver Summer Combine 2024, and Vancouver March Break 2024. These events provided direct exposure to University of Calgary staff, who were in attendance identifying top talent.
Palmer’s performances across these high-level environments showcased her ability to compete against top players in her class. Her consistency, technical ability, and impact in match play led to direct recruitment interest from Calgary. She was also recognized nationally with a #118 ranking in the 2026 Grad Class, highlighting her development within the Canadian player pool.
Her commitment to the University of Calgary marks the next step in both her academic and athletic career, where she will compete in U SPORTS within the Canada West conference, one of the premier university soccer environments in the country.
Palmer’s pathway reflects the strength of the FTF Canada platform. Through events such as the Vancouver March Break Combine and Vancouver Summer Combine, players are provided with direct exposure to attending university programs and the opportunity to convert standout performances into next-level opportunities.
