FTF Canada continues to create strong pathways within U SPORTS, as alumni Ava Tingstad has officially committed to Mount Royal University and the Mount Royal Cougars women’s soccer program.
A product of Juventus Edmonton, Tingstad earned her opportunity through strong performances at the Calgary Winter Combine 2023 and Edmonton Summer Combine 2023, where Mount Royal University staff were in attendance identifying top talent.
Competing in high-performance environments, Tingstad demonstrated her ability to perform against strong competition, showcasing her technical ability, consistency, and work rate. Her performances across these events led to direct recruitment interest from Mount Royal, ultimately securing her commitment to the program.
Her commitment to Mount Royal University marks the next step in both her academic and athletic career, where she will compete in U SPORTS within the Canada West conference, one of the premier university soccer environments in Canada.
Tingstad’s pathway highlights the impact of FTF Canada’s regional event platform. Through combines such as the Calgary Winter Combine and Edmonton Summer Combine, players are provided with direct exposure to attending university programs and the opportunity to convert performances into next-level opportunities.
