FTF Canada continues to create elite international pathways, as 2009-born talents Makis Maclean and Sydney Shaiu have been invited on trial with Belgian professional club Cercle Brugge.
Both players were identified through their performances at previous FTF Euro ID Camps, where they showcased their abilities in front of international coaches and scouts. Their performances caught the attention of Euro ID Coach Céderique Tulleners, who played a key role in identifying and facilitating this opportunity.
Competing in high-performance environments, Maclean and Shaiu demonstrated the technical quality, athleticism, and game intelligence required to transition into the European football landscape. Their invitation to Cercle Brugge, a club competing in the Belgian professional system, marks a significant step in their development.
