FTF Canada continues to create pathways into the U.S. college system, as Combine alumni Jacob Acatrinei has officially committed to Graceland University and the Graceland Yellowjackets men’s soccer program.
A product of Winstars Soccer, Acatrinei earned his opportunity through consistent high-level performances across multiple FTF Canada events, including the Toronto Winter Combine 2026, Toronto Summer Combine 2025, and Toronto Winter Combine 2024. These events provided direct exposure to Graceland University men’s soccer staff, who were in attendance identifying top talent.
Across each event, Acatrinei demonstrated his ability to compete at a high level against strong opposition, showcasing his technical ability, work rate, and consistency in match play. His repeated performances across multiple combines allowed him to build visibility with attending programs, ultimately leading to recruitment interest from Graceland.
The consistency he displayed throughout the FTF Toronto Combine Series played a key role in his progression, allowing him to stand out over time rather than relying on a single performance. This sustained exposure ultimately translated into a commitment opportunity.
His commitment to Graceland University marks the next step in both his academic and athletic career, where he will compete in the NAIA within the Heart of America Athletic Conference, a competitive environment for player development in the United States.
