Woodbridge remains the leading 2009 girls team following its national title. October’s update recognises Atlético Ottawa Juniors’ strong OPDL phase, brings London TFC into the list and keeps Suburban’s excellent Nova Scotia campaign in the national conversation.
This month’s order balances league results, national tournament performances and the strength of opposition. OPDL, APDL, BCSPL and PLSJQ carry substantial weight, with standout regional teams also considered. Fall tables are assessed by birth year; short new-season samples are kept separate from full-season and tournament results.

1. Woodbridge SC (OPDL)
Woodbridge remains first after winning the U17 PDP National Championship. Six wins and two draws in the OPDL Premier phase add an unbeaten domestic sample to that national title. The combined results support keeping Woodbridge at the head of a division with several strong provincial challengers.
2. Surrey United (BCSPL)
Surrey United stays second after its runner-up finish at PDP Nationals. That direct national comparison is the main basis for retaining its position. The younger BC fall tables are not used as a substitute for the 2009 group’s results, preserving the birth-year alignment of the assessment.
3. CS Saint-Hubert (PLSJQ)
CS Saint-Hubert holds third after taking bronze at PDP Nationals. Ten wins, six draws and four losses across 20 Quebec matches provide additional league evidence. Its national podium finish keeps it ahead of provincial rivals in October’s order, even where another club has a stronger domestic record.
4. AS Laval (PLSJQ)
AS Laval’s unbeaten Quebec campaign is one of the strongest records in this division: 18 wins and two draws from 20 games. Its fourth-place PDP Nationals finish supplies a separate national benchmark. Both are considered, with the tournament order keeping Laval just behind Saint-Hubert in this edition.
5. Burnaby FC (BCSPL)
Burnaby retains fifth following its PDP Nationals appearance. That national tournament finish remains the key evidence for the 2009 BC selection. Its position carries forward the wider assessment rather than assigning it an early-season record from the newly labelled younger BCSPL age groups.
6. Atlético Ottawa Juniors (OPDL)
Atlético Ottawa Juniors rises to sixth after leading the supplied OPDL Premier-phase standings. Seven wins and one loss, with 27 goals scored and four conceded, make a strong case for the move. Those results earn it the highest Ontario position after national champion Woodbridge.
7. Calgary Rangers (APDL)
Calgary Rangers stays seventh after its PDP Nationals appearance. The national tournament provides the principal basis for retaining the 2009 Alberta group. Results from the younger fall APDL tables are assessed separately and do not become this team’s league record.
8. Calgary Foothills (APDL)
Calgary Foothills remains eighth, keeping two Alberta clubs in the top 10. Its PDP Nationals appearance supplies the interprovincial comparison used in the wider assessment. This position preserves national tournament evidence while the next complete 2009 league update remains relevant to future movement.
9. Suburban FC (Nova Scotia)
Suburban earns continued recognition after winning 14 of 16 Nova Scotia league matches, with one draw and one loss. Eighty-six goals scored and ten conceded underline its strong regional campaign. That substantial record supports keeping an Atlantic Canada representative in the national top 10.
10. London TFC (OPDL)
London TFC enters tenth after finishing third in the supplied OPDL Premier-phase table. Five wins, one draw and two losses give it a stronger current league case than several competing Ontario candidates. Vaughan remains an honourable mention, with London taking the final position in this update.
