Bio & Career

Soccer Accomplishments: Surrey United Academy Coach, Incoming 2009 BCSPL intake Assistant Coach, Player of the week numerous times at Surrey United, Present- Selected for SUSC 03 Girls Leadership Group, 2019- Nominated for player of the year at Surrey United (Club Wide), 2019- Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup Champions, 2019- Selected for SX Cup Showcase All Star Game, 2018- Panorama Ridge Senior Girls Soccer, 2018- AAA Highschool Girls Provincials Game MVP, 2017- AAA Highschool Girls Provincial Champions, 2017- Astro Turf StarFire Sports Showcase Champions, 2016- U13 Provincial A Cup Champions, 2016- U13 Coastal Cup Champions, 2016- U13 League Cup Champion. Team History: U5-U12 CCB Football Club, U13-U15 Metro at SFC Pegasus and BCT Soccer Club, U14-Present Surrey United BCSPL. I am 17 years old and play for Surrey United in the EA Sports British Columbia Soccer Premier League (BCSPL). In my last season I started every game as centre back and played full minutes in helping my team finish at the top of our league during the regular season while managing to concede very minimal goals against. During that time my team had 21 undefeated matches consecutively. I was also selected for the 2019 SX Cup All Stars Game but, unfortunately couldn’t play due to an injury. As my coach would attest, I am a very consistent and diligent player that could bring a lot to your program. I have overcome a lot of obstacles including injuries and going from playing full time in metro to having to earn my spot in the BCSPL which has taught me to always work as hard and as smart as I possibly can. I have a very strong will to win which I use to help motivate my team and keep my teammates’ energy and morale up, especially in tough situations. I am an asset on the pitch because of my ability to dictate the pace of the game, whether it be quickly switching the play or slowing things down to maintain possession. I am a leader on my team on and off the field and have been selected as a part of our leadership group. I can bring a lot to the culture of the team because of my experiences, ability to work well with others and my leadership skills. As stated above my interest is in joining a prestigious school and soccer program in 2022, upon completion of a gap year. Initially my reasoning for a gap year (September 2021-June 2022) upon completing high school was a result of the poor timing of an injury causing me to miss crucial scouting opportunities. However, now I am using a gap year as a stepping stone to prepare myself for the physicality and level of play the USPORTS and NCAA requires. In my gap year I plan to continue coaching at Surrey United where I am the assistant coach for the incoming 2009 BCSPL intake team and run Monday night academies for children ages 6-11. I will spend this year under Technical Director, Jeff Clarke’s guidance and mentorship. I will also be playing on the extremely accomplished Surrey United Women’s Premier Soccer Team. They are an experienced and skilled group having won 12 Provincial titles and national titles as well. I believe this gap year will be beneficial for me as I will be playing alongside former and current NCAA Division 1 athletes and many USPORTS alumni with years of experience. This year is a challenge that will help me grow and prepare even better for the level of play university soccer requires.
