FTF Canada continues to create strong pathways into U SPORTS, as alumni Coby Sankar has officially committed to Western University and the Western Mustangs men’s soccer program.
A product of North Toronto Soccer Club, Sankar earned his opportunity through his performance at the FTF x TFC All-Star Game 2026, an event designed to bring together top players and provide direct exposure to attending university programs. Western University men’s soccer staff were in attendance evaluating talent during the event.
Competing among a high-level group of players, Sankar demonstrated his ability to perform under pressure and impact the game against strong opposition. His performance at the FTF x TFC All-Star Game 2026 showcased his technical quality, consistency, and decision-making in match play.
The All-Star platform provided a direct opportunity for Sankar to be evaluated in a competitive environment, leading to recruitment interest from Western and ultimately securing his commitment.
His commitment to Western University marks the next step in both his academic and athletic career, where he will compete in U SPORTS within Ontario University Athletics (OUA), one of the most competitive university conferences in Canada.
