FTF Canada continues to build strong U SPORTS pathways, as Combine alumni Fabie Zumwalt has officially committed to Trinity Western University and the TWU Spartans women’s soccer program.
A product of Calgary Blizzard Soccer Club, Zumwalt earned her opportunity through consistent performances across multiple FTF Canada events, including the Calgary Winter Combine 2023, Edmonton Summer Combine 2023, and Calgary Winter Combine 2022. These events provided direct exposure to Trinity Western University staff, who were in attendance identifying top Western Canadian talent.
Zumwalt’s performances across these environments demonstrated her ability to compete at a high level, showcasing her technical ability, work rate, and consistency against strong competition. Her continued development through multiple FTF showcases led to direct recruitment interest from Trinity Western University.
Her commitment to Trinity Western University marks the next step in both her academic and athletic career, where she will compete in U SPORTS within the Canada West conference, one of the top university soccer conferences in Canada.
Zumwalt’s pathway highlights the impact of FTF Canada’s regional and national event platform. Through repeated exposure at events attended by university programs, players are able to build visibility and convert performances into next-level opportunities.
