FTF Canada continues to create elite pathways into NCAA Division I, as Combine alumni Farrel Ngongang has officially committed to the University of Akron and the Akron Zips men’s soccer program.
A product of Académie CFM, Ngongang earned his opportunity through a standout performance at the All-Star Showcase 2025, where University of Akron staff were in attendance identifying top Canadian talent.
Competing in a high-performance showcase environment, Ngongang demonstrated his ability to perform against elite competition. His technical quality, athleticism, and impact in match play led to direct recruitment interest from Akron, ultimately securing his commitment to one of the top NCAA soccer programs.
His commitment to the University of Akron marks the next step in his athletic and academic career, where he will compete in NCAA Division I, continuing his development in a highly competitive collegiate environment.
