FTF Canada continues to drive successful university pathways, as Combine alumni John Kandinda has officially committed to St. Francis Xavier University and the STFX X-Men soccer program.
A product of Codiac Soccer, Kandinda’s journey reflects the impact of long-term exposure through FTF Canada’s event platform. He participated in the Top 60 2024, Top 60 2023, Halifax Summer Combine 2024, and Halifax Summer Combine 2023, where St. Francis Xavier University staff were consistently in attendance evaluating talent.
Kandinda’s performances across multiple events demonstrated his ability to compete at a high level against top players in Atlantic Canada and beyond. His consistency and development over time played a key role in his recruitment, as coaches were able to track his progress across several FTF environments. His impact was further recognized with a #26 national ranking in the 2024 Grad Class, highlighting his status as one of the top players in his cohort.
His commitment to St. Francis Xavier University marks the next step in both his academic and athletic career, where he will compete in U SPORTS within the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) conference, a highly competitive university soccer environment.
