FTF Canada continues to demonstrate its impact on the Canadian professional pathway, as multiple alumni were selected in the 2025 Canadian Premier League (CPL) Draft, connecting U SPORTS talent to the professional level.
Leading the group was Alexander Marcoux (Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières / FC Supra), selected #2 overall, followed by Joseph Green (Mount Royal University / Vancouver FC) at #3 overall. Both players have progressed through the Canadian university system and now take the next step into the professional environment.
Additional FTF alumni selected include Noah Bickford (Toronto Metropolitan University / Forge FC) at #8, Gabriel Tardif (Brock University / Atlético Ottawa) at #9, Michael Williams (York University / Inter Toronto) at #12, and Luc Ihama (Toronto Metropolitan University / Cavalry FC) at #14.
Each of these players previously participated in FTF Canada events, where they gained exposure, competed against top talent, and showcased their abilities in front of scouts and professional environments. Their progression from FTF events to U SPORTS programs and now into the CPL Draft highlights the effectiveness of the FTF Canada platform.
The CPL Draft continues to serve as a critical bridge between U SPORTS soccer and the Canadian Premier League, and the success of these players reinforces FTF Canada’s role in supporting long-term player development and professional opportunities.
FTF Canada congratulates Alexander Marcoux, Joseph Green, Noah Bickford, Gabriel Tardif, Michael Williams, and Luc Ihama on this achievement and looks forward to following their professional careers in the Canadian Premier League.
