FTF Canada continues to support player progression across the country, as Combine alumni Olivia MacKay has officially committed to St. Francis Xavier University and the STFX X-Women soccer program.
A product of St. Anthony SC, MacKay earned her opportunity through strong performances across multiple FTF Canada events, including the Top 60 2024, Ottawa Winter Combine 2025, and Montreal Summer Combine 2024. These events provided direct exposure to St. Francis Xavier University staff, who were in attendance identifying prospective student-athletes.
MacKay’s ability to compete in high-level environments against top players in her class played a key role in her recruitment. Her performances across these showcases demonstrated her consistency, work rate, and technical ability, ultimately leading to her commitment. She was also recognized nationally with a #161 ranking in the 2026 Grad Class, reflecting her continued development within the Canadian player pool.
Her commitment to St. Francis Xavier University marks the next step in both her academic and athletic career, where she will compete in U SPORTS within the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) conference, a competitive university soccer environment.
MacKay’s pathway highlights the impact of FTF Canada’s event platform, where players are given the opportunity to perform in front of attending university programs and convert exposure into meaningful opportunities.
