FTF Canada continues to create elite pathways into NCAA Division I, as Combine alumni Roy Omo-Obas has officially committed to Northwestern University and the Northwestern Wildcats men’s soccer program.
A product of Vaughan Soccer Club, Omo-Obas earned his opportunity through a standout performance at the FTF Top 60 Showcase 2025, one of the premier identification events in the country. The event brought together top players in the 2026 class and provided direct exposure to Northwestern University men’s soccer staff, who were in attendance evaluating high-level talent.
Competing against some of the strongest prospects in his class, Omo-Obas demonstrated his ability to perform at an elite level. His performance at the Top 60 Showcase 2025 showcased his technical quality, athleticism, and ability to impact the game in key moments. His consistency and presence throughout the event allowed him to separate himself among a competitive pool of players.
His performance not only generated direct recruitment interest from Northwestern University, but also contributed to his national recognition, as he was recently ranked #14 in the 2026 Grad Class, solidifying his position among the top prospects in Canada.
The FTF Top 60 Showcase is designed to provide players with a high-performance environment where they can be evaluated directly by NCAA programs. For Omo-Obas, this platform translated directly into an opportunity at one of the top academic and athletic institutions in the United States.
His commitment to Northwestern University marks the next step in both his academic and athletic career, where he will compete in NCAA Division I within the Big Ten Conference, one of the premier conferences in U.S. collegiate soccer.
FTF Canada looks forward to following Roy Omo-Obas’ continued development and success at Northwestern University.
