FTF Canada continues to create strong U SPORTS pathways, as Combine alumni Tashinga Zvemhara has officially committed to Laurentian University and the Laurentian Voyageurs men’s soccer program.
A product of Bryst Football Academy, Zvemhara earned his opportunity through standout performances at the Toronto Winter Combine 2025 and Toronto Summer Combine 2024, where Laurentian University staff were in attendance identifying top talent.
Competing in high-level environments, Zvemhara demonstrated his ability to perform against strong competition, showcasing his technical quality, athleticism, and consistency. His performances across these events led to direct recruitment interest from Laurentian. He was also recognized nationally with a #86 ranking in the 2025 Grad Class, highlighting his development within the Canadian player pool.
His commitment to Laurentian University marks the next step in both his academic and athletic career, where he will compete in U SPORTS within the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) conference, one of the most competitive university soccer environments in Canada.
Zvemhara’s pathway highlights the impact of FTF Canada’s event platform. Through events such as the Toronto Combine Series, players are provided with direct exposure to attending university programs and the opportunity to convert standout performances into next-level opportunities.
