September marks the start of league play across the country, with some provinces adjusting their age groups to U16 for the 2025/26 season. For the U15 (2010) girls, August was highlighted by the inaugural PDP Cup, which brought together the nation’s top programs in a true test of depth, skill, and resilience. Now, with league campaigns underway and showcase tournaments like the FTF Fall Showdown around the corner, the national picture continues to evolve.
⚜️ 1. Lakeshore SC (Quebec) – PLSJQ / PDP Finalists
Undefeated in September, Lakeshore solidified their reputation as one of Canada’s best by finishing as PDP Cup finalists. A 2-0 win over powerhouse Calgary Blizzard in group play was a statement, and they backed it up by defeating AS Laval in a first-place divisional clash. They now head into the PLSJQ finals against FC Laval as Quebec’s team to beat.
⚜️ 2. CS Saint-Laurent (Quebec) – PDP Champions
Winners of the PDP Cup, Saint-Laurent are officially Canada’s #1 U15 side. Their run included a thrilling opener against Coquitlam Metro-Ford, a gritty 2-1 semifinal win over Ottawa South United, and a decisive victory against Lakeshore in the final. Resilient and clinical, they’ve proven they can handle the nation’s toughest competition.
🏔️ 3. Calgary Blizzard (Alberta) – APDL / PDP 5th Place
Once ranked #1 nationally, Calgary were tested in August. A group-stage loss to Lakeshore ended their title hopes, but they bounced back with a penalty-shootout win over rivals St. Albert Impact on Championship Day. They may not have lifted silverware, but they remain one of the most complete sides in the country.
🔴 4. Pickering FC (Ontario) – OPDL Premier
Pickering have surged to the top of Ontario’s OPDL Premier, remaining undefeated in September with a 6-1-1 record. With momentum on their side, they’re showing they belong in the national top five conversation.
🔴 5. Ottawa TFC (Ontario) – OPDL Premier
Sitting second in OPDL Premier, Ottawa TFC continue to impress despite a narrow 2-1 defeat to Rush Academy in September. Organized and consistent, they’ve cemented themselves as a contender in Ontario.
🔴 6. Ottawa South United (Ontario) – PDP 4th Place
OSU were one of the revelations of the PDP Cup, highlighted by a 5-0 thrashing of CMFSC and a 3-1 win over St. Albert Impact. September league play was tougher — with two losses and a draw — but their Cup run proved their national pedigree.
🔴 7. Rush Academy (Ontario) – OPDL Premier
Rush’s form has been a bit up and down, but their wins over Ottawa TFC and other OPDL contenders show their ability to compete with anyone. While losses to Oakville, OSU, and North Toronto have hurt, they remain firmly in the top 10.
🏔️ 8. St. Albert Impact (Alberta) – APDL / PDP 6th Place
St. Albert’s PDP run included a gritty draw with champions Saint-Laurent, though they fell to OSU and Calgary Blizzard. They continue to be Alberta’s other major force at this age group, with strong league results to match.
🌲 9. Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC (British Columbia) – BCSPL
CMFSC had a frustrating PDP Cup, taking early leads against both Saint-Laurent and St. Albert Impact but failing to hold on. They’ve since rebounded with a 2-0 start in BCSPL play, showing the flashes of elite quality that make them BC’s leading side.
⚓ 10. United DFC (Nova Scotia) – NSSL
Outside the PDP, UDFC continue to dominate at the provincial level. Their nearly undefeated NSSL run (18 wins,1 loss and 3 draws) demonstrates consistency and discipline, keeping them in Canada’s top 10 despite limited interprovincial play.

Quebec sides Lakeshore and Saint-Laurent continue to set the tone nationally, while Alberta’s Blizzard and St. Albert remain dangerous. Ontario’s OPDL Premier is already proving volatile, and BC’s Metro-Ford looks primed for a rise. With October showcase events looming, the race for national supremacy at U15 is just getting started.
