FTF Canada Top U17 (2009) Boys Teams in Canada – October 2026

Vaughan and Woodbridge continue to lead the 2009 boys national rankings after their PDP Nationals final. The October update also recognises an unbeaten Saskatchewan campaign and rewards Pickering’s position in the latest OPDL standings.

This month’s order balances league results, national tournament performances and the strength of opposition. OPDL, APDL, BCSPL and PLSJQ carry substantial weight, with standout regional teams also considered. Fall tables are assessed by birth year; short new-season samples are kept separate from full-season and tournament results.

FTF Canada Top 10 — 2009 Boys (U17), October 2026

1. Vaughan SC (OPDL)

Vaughan remains No. 1 after winning the U17 PDP National Championship. Its OPDL Premier-phase record of seven wins and one draw, with 29 goals scored and seven conceded, reinforces that standing. A national title and an unbeaten domestic phase make the strongest combined case in this division.

2. Woodbridge SC (OPDL)

Woodbridge holds second after finishing runner-up at PDP Nationals. Five wins, two draws and one loss in the OPDL Premier phase provide further support. The national final remains the clearest direct comparison with Vaughan and keeps this Ontario pairing at the head of the rankings.

3. Fusion FC (BCSPL)

Fusion’s PDP Nationals bronze medal keeps it third. That finish gives the 2009 BC group a national result against a strong field. October’s position continues to rely on that tournament benchmark; the newer BC tables for younger birth years are not applied to this team.

4. Edmonton BTB (APDL)

Edmonton BTB retains fourth on the strength of its place among the leading teams at PDP Nationals. Its fourth-place finish supports keeping Alberta represented near the top. The newer APDL screenshots for 2010 and 2011 teams are separate samples and do not supply a fresh 2009 record.

5. CS Saint-Laurent (PLSJQ)

CS Saint-Laurent stays fifth with both national tournament experience and a strong Quebec campaign in the assessment. Ten wins, six draws and three losses from 19 league matches show sustained results. Its PDP Nationals finish keeps it ahead of provincial rivals when comparing the wider national field.

6. CS Saint-Hubert (PLSJQ)

CS Saint-Hubert’s Quebec record of 15 wins, one draw and three losses from 19 games provides a strong domestic case. Its PDP Nationals appearance adds an interprovincial benchmark. Saint-Hubert remains sixth, with the balance between league performance and national tournament results determining the order.

7. Burnaby FC (BCSPL)

Burnaby remains in seventh after competing at PDP Nationals. That national appearance supplies the main comparative evidence for retaining the 2009 group. The October assessment keeps Burnaby among the leading BC selections without assigning it results from the newly relabelled younger BCSPL divisions.

8. Saskatoon Alliance Blue (PSL)

Saskatoon Alliance Blue rises to eighth after an unbeaten regional campaign of 12 wins and two draws. A plus-38 goal difference reinforces its case. Those results warrant recognition beyond the major provincial leagues and reward the consistency of Saskatchewan’s leading candidate in the supplied standings.

9. Pickering FC (OPDL)

Pickering enters the top 10 after finishing third in the supplied OPDL Premier-phase table. Three wins and five draws leave it unbeaten across eight games. That recent league position earns the final Ontario place ahead of North Toronto, which remains an honourable mention.

10. McKenzie United (APDL)

McKenzie retains the final spot through its PDP Nationals participation and Alberta representation in the broader assessment. This is the closest call in the division. Its national tournament experience keeps it in October’s list, while the honourable mentions remain credible challengers for the next update.
