The FTF Halifax Regional Combine touched down at Wickwire Pitch on Friday, June 26th to Sunday, June 28th, and the talent on display made for an unforgettable weekend! Athletes opened things up with a hands-on testing session – running through the 40-yard dash, 5-10-5 agility drill and vertical jump – to put their athleticism on full display right out of the gate. From there, the focus turned to the pitch, where players squared off in high-level matchups in front of college coaches scouting from across North America. Every match became a stage to showcase composure, skill, and game IQ, with eyes on them both courtside and through the livestream feed. It was a weekend full of breakout moments, and we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on the standout performers below:
Overall MVP – Avery Olive Mosher | CAM | Suburban FC | 2030 Grad
Avery Olive Mosher is a talented 2030 graduate and attacking midfielder for Suburban FC with tremendous long-term potential. A natural playmaker, Avery has an excellent nose for goal and consistently finds dangerous positions in the final third. With strong technical ability and an attacking mindset, Avery is a player to watch as they continue to develop.
Goalkeeper MVP – Erica Sweeney | GK | Inter Halifax | 2027 Grad
Erica Sweeney is a 2027 graduate goalkeeper for Inter Halifax who stood out with her exceptional shot-stopping ability. She consistently made key saves, showed strong positioning, and gave her team confidence at the back. Erica’s performances highlighted her as a reliable goalkeeper with the potential to compete at the next level.
Defender MVP – Marisol Casey | CB | Halifax County | 2028 Grad
Marisol Casey is a 2028 graduate center back for Halifax County who impressed with her outstanding understanding of the game. She reads play exceptionally well, positions herself effectively, and makes smart defensive decisions under pressure. Marisol’s composure and soccer IQ make her a dependable presence in the back line and a player with a bright future.
Midfielder MVP – Oliveah Walker | CDM | FSA | 2027 Grad
Oliveah Walker is a 2027 graduate defensive midfielder for FSA who kept her team ticking throughout the match. She dictated the tempo with smart passing, excellent positioning, and a composed presence in possession. Oliveah’s ability to connect play and provide stability in midfield makes her a key player and one to watch.
Attacker MVP – Amarachi Ezurike | RW | Halifax County United | 2027 Grad
Amarachi Ezurike is a 2027 graduate winger for Halifax County United who was a constant threat in behind. Her pace and direct running stretched defensive lines and created repeated attacking danger. She consistently looked to exploit space in transition, making her a difficult matchup for defenders throughout the match.
Young Player MVP – Julia Langille | ST | Suburban FC | 2031 Grad
Julia Langille is a 2031 graduate striker for Suburban FC who already shows tons of potential at a young age. Playing as a central forward, she brings energy and intent in attacking moments, constantly looking to get in behind and create chances. Julia’s movement and willingness to take on defenders make her an exciting developing talent in the 2031 class.
