GK MVP:
GK- Jean-Christophe Belzile | Halifax Wanderers | 2027 Grad
Jean-Christophe Belzile delivered an outstanding performance across the three game series and established himself as the most reliable and impactful goalkeeper on the field. He made multiple high level saves in clear goal scoring situations, consistently denying quality chances with strong positioning, quick reactions, and composed decision making. His game deciding penalty save highlighted not only his shot stopping ability but also his confidence and mental strength in a pressure moment. Throughout all three matches he remained steady, focused, and technically sound, showing command of his area, clear communication with his back line, and clean handling in traffic. Belzile demonstrated all the key attributes of a high level goalkeeper, including consistency, composure, presence, and the ability to influence the outcome of a match when it matters most.
DEFENDER MVP:
CB – Niko Brodar | TFC u16 | 2028 Grad
Niko Brodar is a young defender who already demonstrates the qualities of an elite level centre back. Despite being younger than many of his peers, he plays with maturity, composure, and confidence well beyond his age. Technically, he is clean in possession and comfortable building out from the back, showing the ability to break lines with his passing and make sound decisions under pressure. Physically, he competes at a high level, using his strength and timing effectively in duels while maintaining good mobility and balance. What separates him is his defensive intelligence. He reads the game early, positions himself well, and anticipates danger before it fully develops. Brodar has the technical foundation, physical profile, and football IQ to perform at a high level and projects very well as a long term centre back prospect.
MIDFIELDER MVP:
CDM/CM – Roy Omo Obas | Vaughan HP | 2026 Grad
Roy Omo Obas is a consistent and dependable holding midfielder who anchors the game effectively from a central position. He excels at breaking up play, disrupting passing lanes, and stopping attacks before they can develop into real threats. His approach is fearless, committing fully to challenges and competing with intensity in both ground duels and second balls. Defensively, he covers space well and shows strong awareness of when to step in and when to hold his position. In possession, he keeps his game simple and efficient, moving the ball quickly and connecting lines to maintain rhythm for his team. He understands his role clearly and executes it with discipline, providing balance, stability, and structure in midfield.
ATTACKER MVP:
ST – Ife Nkabu | Woodbridge Soccer Club | 2026 Grad
Ife Nkabu was one of the clear standouts, consistently impacting the game in decisive moments. He created chances for himself and others, found the back of the net, and imposed himself physically throughout the match. His movement in and around the box was purposeful, and he showed a natural instinct for finding space in dangerous areas. In duels he was strong and assertive, holding off defenders and competing with intent. Beyond his goal scoring, he demonstrated the ability to occupy centre backs, create separation in tight spaces, and remain a constant threat in advanced positions. Physically, he has the profile of a high level striker, combining strength, balance, and mobility with the competitive edge required to lead the line effectively.
YOUNG PLAYER MVP:
RW/CAM – Lucas Dawson | TFC u16 | 2029 Grad
Lucas Dawson is an exciting young attacking player who did far more than hold his own against older competition. He impacted the game in multiple phases, contributing both offensively and in transitional moments, and consistently influenced play when his team needed energy and initiative. He showed the confidence to take defenders on, the awareness to combine effectively, and the work rate to stay involved throughout. What stands out most is his ability to win one versus one situations consistently, using pace, control, and composure to beat defenders and create separation. His one versus one ability is already at an elite level for his age group, and he plays with a belief that elevates those around him. For a player of his age, his self belief and attacking intent are rare, and he is certainly one to watch in the future.
OVERALL MVP:
ST – Sasha Romanov | TFC u16 | 2028 Grad
Sasha Romanov is a high level striker who competed against older opposition and consistently rose to the standard. He demonstrated advanced finishing ability, showing composure in front of goal and the technical quality to convert chances in tight areas. What makes him particularly impressive is that he is not solely a goal scorer. He creates opportunities for others, linking play effectively and showing awareness in the final third to slip teammates into dangerous positions. His movement is intelligent, his decision making in attacking moments is sharp, and he influences the game both as a finisher and as a facilitator. Romanov has the profile of a modern striker who can score goals while also elevating the players around him.
