FTF Canada is proud to highlight that FTF alumni Sydney Shiau has earned a professional opportunity with Belgian Pro League club KVC Westerlo.
A product of Futuro Soccer, Shiau secured this opportunity through his participation in the Euro ID Ottawa 2024, where KVC Westerlo representatives were in attendance scouting talent. His performance at the event provided a direct platform to showcase his abilities in front of the Belgian club.
Sydney Shiau’s progression is another strong example of how FTF Canada’s Euro ID events create direct connections between Canadian players and professional clubs in Europe. By performing in front of international scouts and decision-makers, players are able to turn exposure into real opportunities at the professional level.
The Euro ID Ottawa platform continues to play a key role in bridging the gap between domestic talent and European football, with pathways into leagues such as the Belgian Pro League.
