The FTF Top 60 Showcase brought the biggest show of the summer to Vancouver on July 9th–10th – the best players selected from across the country, stepping onto the pitch for the biggest moment of their season. With some of the top coaches from Canada and the U.S. in attendance, this was a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and several coaches made the stop on their way down to the ECNL Playoffs in Seattle, popping in for a day or two to scout the action before heading south. Every minute on the field mattered, and the standouts rose to the occasion. It was the perfect finale to a summer full of talent, and we’re proud to spotlight the top performers from the showcase below:
Overall MVP – Emmalina Abou-Assaleh | CM | North Mississauga SC | 2029 Grad
Emmalina took home the Overall MVP award at the 2026 edition of Top 60 Girls following an excellent performance in the middle of the pitch. Her versatility set her apart from the start of the first game, as she showcased her abilities as a 6, an 8, and a 10. Her excellent first touch consistently helped her set up her next action. Her speed on the ball combined with her creativity allowed her to get out of tricky situations with ease but then follow it up with well-weighted split through balls into her forwards. Emmalina displayed excellent football intelligence as well, often making good decisions when it came to taking risks or securing possession for her team.
Goalkeeper MVP – Keana Kirby | GK | Nanaimo United FC | 2028 Grad
Keana was awarded the Goalkeeper MVP award after her commanding display in goal during the showcase. On first look, her height impressed onlookers, standing at 6’1. She combined this with excellent shot stopping abilities, especially in 1v1 situations and when facing shots within her box with many bodies around her. She was brave both in coming off her line to sweep and in claiming crosses within her reach. With the ball at her feet, she showed great composure to help her team play out from the back or go long when faced with heavy pressure.
Defender MVP – Karmyn Porco | RB | North Mississauga SC | 2029 Grad
Karmyn won the Defender MVP award in Vancouver after an excellent display at fullback for the winning team, Team Gatorade. Her engine set her apart instantly, which she displayed by consistently making runs beyond her midfielders and wingers, looking to get in 1v1 situations to eventually send crosses into the box. Defensively, she tracked runners well and excelled in her 1v1 duels. The timing and strength of her tackles made her a tough defender to deal with for all wingers at the showcase. She was not afraid to get physical with her opponents and was often smart enough to not overcommit when it wasn’t necessary.
Midfielder MVP – Stella Vickers | CM | Atletico Ottawa Juniors | 2028 Grad
Stella was the standout midfielder in Vancouver over the course of the showcase, which earned her the Midfielder MVP award. It was a ‘do it all’ type of display from Stella over her four games. She was a force going forward, with her speed with the ball at her feet helping her drive her team forward when given the chance. This was aided by her great ability to drop in and receive on the half-turn to play forward quickly. Off the ball, she often tracked down her opponents and was not afraid to put a shoulder in to win her duels.
Attacker MVP – Ellyana Nemer | LW | Ottawa City SC | 2029 Grad
Ellyana took home the accolade of Attacker MVP following an excellent display on the wing for Top 60 runner-ups Team FTF. From the first minute, her speed both with and without the ball set her apart from the rest. Ellyana was frighteningly quick, which made it very difficult for opposing fullbacks to deal with her. She was very skillful and creative in outplaying her opponent whether she was facing them up 1v1 or receiving with her back to goal. Ellyana found success cutting in from the right to either shoot or combine with her teammates. She also had some nice actions using her left foot, including a great goal, to round off a very successful event.
Young Player MVP – Maïa Ladrouz | ST | Whitecaps London | 2029 Grad
Maïa was awarded one of two Young Player MVP awards at this year’s Top 60 Girls showcase after an impressive display up top for her team. Maïa’s football IQ stood out right away and impressed everyone on the sidelines. The variety, timing, and overall decision-making of her movement was excellent – dropping deep to bounce and combine when necessary or making countless runs in behind made her a nightmare to deal with. Her frightening speed with and without the ball combined with her excellent ball striking ability marked her as a threat from the very first game. There is no doubt that Maïa is going to continue to score plenty of goals as her career unfolds.
Young Player MVP – Mila White | CAM | St. Albert Impact | 2029 Grad
Mila was another recipient of the Young Player MVP award at Top 60 Girls this year. Following on from a dominant display at the Edmonton Combine where she was awarded Overall MVP, Mila brought the same level and intensity to the showcase in Vancouver. Once again, she was everywhere, on both sides of the ball. Her creativity on the ball was on display in and around the opposition box. Her passing range and carrying were excellent, especially in attacking transition moments where she was afforded more space by her opponents. Even though she is primarily a forward-thinking player, Mila did not let that stop her from putting in a shift out of possession every time she was on the pitch. Constantly hounding down opponents and going 100% into every duel and tackle. She is a player who will have a bright future in this sport if she continues down the path she is currently on.
