As the summer season reaches its final stages, teams have continued to separate themselves through consistent league results, tournament success, player development, and performances against elite competition. September also featured the PDP Nationals in Montreal, bringing together many of the country’s top development programs and providing another opportunity for teams to compete against high-level national opposition. These rankings recognize Canada’s top U16 girls teams based on their overall body of work throughout the 2026 campaign.
1. Woodbridge SC (OPDL)
Record: 3-1-0
Woodbridge SC continues to hold the top position among Canada’s U16 girls teams. The club has consistently demonstrated strong technical ability, organization, and competitiveness throughout the season. Their ability to perform against high-level OPDL opposition has kept them firmly established as one of the country’s premier 2010 girls programs.
2. AS Brossard (PLSJQ)
Record: 13-1-1
AS Brossard has continued its outstanding campaign and remains one of Quebec’s elite clubs. The team has consistently produced disciplined performances while demonstrating excellent organization and composure in possession. Their impressive record has established them as one of the top contenders in the PLSJQ and one of Canada’s strongest U16 teams.
3. North Mississauga (OPDL)
Record: 2-2-1 (FTF Canada Spring Showdown Champions)
North Mississauga remains one of the premier teams in the country after capturing the FTF Canada Spring Showdown earlier this season. 4. Hamilton United Elite SC (OPDL)

With ten victories on the campaign, the squad has demonstrated consistency and the ability to compete against some of Quebec’s top programs. 6. Calgary Blizzard (AYSL)
Record: 7-2-1
Calgary Blizzard has continued to establish itself as one of Alberta’s strongest girls programs. A balanced squad capable of defending well while creating consistent attacking opportunities has led to another impressive season. Their continued success places them firmly among Canada’s top U16 teams.
7. Surrey United (BCSPL)
Record: 15-5-2
Surrey United remains one of British Columbia’s premier development clubs. Competing every week in the highly competitive BCSPL, the squad has consistently produced strong performances while recording fifteen victories. Their depth, organization, and proven player pathway continue to make Surrey one of the country’s elite programs.
8. Coquitlam Metro Ford (BCSPL)
Record: 18-3-1
Coquitlam Metro Ford has enjoyed one of the most successful seasons in Canada. Eighteen victories in the BCSPL highlight the club’s consistency, attacking quality, and defensive discipline. Week after week, Coquitlam has demonstrated why it remains one of the strongest teams in the nation.
9. FC Laval (PLSJQ)
Record: 4-1-1
FC Laval rounds out this month’s rankings after another strong stretch of performances in Quebec. Losing just once through six matches, the club has demonstrated consistency, resilience, and a balanced style of play that has allowed them to compete with the province’s top teams. They continue to establish themselves as one of the country’s emerging U16 programs.

Record: 14-1-1
AK Soccer Academy PR1 has put together an outstanding campaign, posting an impressive 14-1-1 record. Their consistency throughout the season has highlighted the strength and depth of the program, while their ability to consistently collect results has made them one of the strongest U16 teams in the country.
