FTF Canada continues to create strong U SPORTS pathways, as Combine alumni Anthony Aweya has officially committed to Carleton University and the Carleton Ravens men’s soccer program.
A product of West Ottawa Soccer Club, Aweya earned his opportunity through standout performances at the Top 60 2024 and Montreal Summer Combine 2024, where Carleton University staff were in attendance identifying top talent.
Competing in high-level environments against some of the top players in his class, Aweya demonstrated the consistency, technical quality, and competitiveness required at the university level. His performances across these events led to direct recruitment interest from Carleton. He was also recognized nationally with a #79 ranking in the 2025 Grad Class, highlighting his development within the Canadian player pool.
His commitment to Carleton University marks the next step in both his academic and athletic career, where he will compete in U SPORTS within the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) conference, one of the most competitive leagues in Canadian university soccer.
Aweya’s pathway reflects the impact of the FTF Canada platform. Through events such as the Top 60 Showcase and Montreal Summer Combine, players are given direct exposure to attending university programs and the opportunity to convert strong performances into next-level opportunities.
FTF Canada looks forward to following Anthony Aweya’s continued development and success at Carleton University.
