FTF Canada continues to build strong university pathways, as Combine alumni Leanna Massi has officially committed to York University and the York Lions women’s soccer program.
A product of Vaughan Soccer Club, Massi earned her opportunity through standout performances at the Top 60 2024 and Toronto Summer Combine 2024, where York University staff were in attendance identifying top talent.
Massi’s ability to perform in high-level environments against some of the top players in her class played a key role in her recruitment. Her consistency, technical quality, and impact in match play led to direct interest from York University. She was also recognized nationally with a #104 ranking in the 2026 Grad Class, highlighting her status as a strong prospect within the Canadian player pool.
Her commitment to York University marks the next step in both her academic and athletic career, where she will compete in U SPORTS within the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) conference, one of the most competitive university soccer environments in Canada.
Massi’s pathway reflects the core mission of FTF Canada: providing players with meaningful exposure through events like the Top 60 Showcase and Toronto Summer Combine, allowing them to convert strong performances into next-level opportunities.
FTF Canada looks forward to following Leanna Massi’s continued development and success at York University.
