FTF Canada continues to create elite NCAA pathways, as Combine alumni Samantha Cardoso has officially committed to Kent State University and the Kent State Golden Flashes women’s soccer program.
A product of LFC IA Mississauga and NDC Ontario, Cardoso earned her opportunity through standout performances at the Toronto Summer Combine 2024 and Toronto Winter Combine 2024, where Kent State University staff were in attendance identifying top Canadian talent.
Cardoso consistently demonstrated her ability to perform in high-level environments against elite competition. Her technical quality, athleticism, and impact in match play led to direct recruitment interest from Kent State. Her performances were further recognized with a #8 national ranking in the 2027 Grad Class, solidifying her position as one of the top young prospects in the country.
Her commitment to Kent State University marks the next step in both her academic and athletic career, where she will compete in NCAA Division I within the Mid-American Conference (MAC), a competitive environment known for developing high-level players.
Cardoso’s pathway highlights the strength of the FTF Canada platform. Through events such as the Toronto Summer Combine and Toronto Winter Combine, players are provided with direct exposure to attending NCAA programs and the opportunity to convert standout performances into next-level opportunities.
