The FTF Montreal Summer Combine, held at Complexe Sportif Lakeshore on July 20th-22nd was a vibrant showcase of talent! The three-day event kicked off with testing on Day 1, featuring the 40-yard dash, 5-10-5 agility test and vertical jump. Days 2 and 3 focused on gameplay, offering players the opportunity to be coached by college coaches from across North America. These competitive matches allowed participants to impress the coaches scouting, both in person and via live stream. The combine was an excellent display of skill, and we are excited to highlight the top performers:
Overall MVP – Imad Leshob | LW | CS Saint Laurent | 2028 Grad
Imad Leshob is a dynamic winger who thrives in one-on-one situations, using his quick feet and creativity to unbalance defenders. Blessed with an explosive burst of speed, he can separate from his marker in an instant and is a constant threat attacking the space behind the back line. His direct style and confidence on the ball make him a nightmare to defend against, as he is always looking to take players on and create chances. Leshob’s pace, flair, and attacking intent make him one of the most exciting wide players in the 2028 class.
Goalkeeper MVP – Medhi Saadella | FC Laval | 2028 Grad
Medhi Saadella is a technically sound goalkeeper whose outstanding fundamentals provide a strong foundation for his game. He demonstrates excellent positioning, clean handling, and composed footwork, allowing him to consistently make the right decisions in goal. Calm under pressure, he is reliable in both shot-stopping situations and when distributing the ball from the back. His polished technique and maturity make him a dependable presence between the posts and a goalkeeper with significant long-term potential.
Defender MVP – Mathis Caron-Cousineau | RB | Royal Beauport | 2027 Grad
Mathis Caron-Cousineau is an energetic fullback whose engine allows him to impact the game from box to box. He is very comfortable on the dribble, confidently carrying the ball forward and beating defenders to progress his team into dangerous attacking areas. His willingness to get forward is matched by his work rate to recover defensively, making him an effective two-way presence down the flank. With his athleticism and ability to drive play from wide areas, Caron-Cousineau is a constant threat throughout the match.
Midfielder MVP – Antoine Koh | CM | Athletico Ottawa JR’s | 2028 Grad
Antoine Koh is a composed central midfielder who keeps his team ticking with intelligent decision-making and consistent play in possession. He possesses an excellent passing range, capable of switching play, breaking lines, and controlling the tempo from the middle of the park. Always showing for the ball, Koh provides a reliable outlet and helps connect every phase of the game. His vision, composure, and ability to dictate possession make him a key presence in midfield.
Attacker MVP – Rayan Alouini | ST | CS Lasalle | 2028 Grad
Rayan Alouini is the type of striker profile that college coaches covet, combining size, strength, and pace into a complete center forward. He uses his physical presence exceptionally well, holding up the ball to bring teammates into the attack while also possessing the speed to threaten defenses in behind. Comfortable battling with center backs, he consistently creates problems through his movement and ability to occupy defenders. With his blend of athleticism, hold-up play, and attacking presence, Alouini has all the tools to develop into a highly impactful No. 9.
