Jack Shand | GK | 2024 Grad | Astra Academy
Shand has great reflexes, a springy jump, and a good passing range with his left foot. He’s an excellent shot stopper and positionally sound, which makes it very tough for opposing attackers to out the ball beyond him. He also makes good decisions while coming off his line.
Erik Amberson | RB | 2023 Grad | FC Regina
Amberson is a great defender and athletic fullback who makes so many good decisions. In possession, he completes almost every pass he makes, and when getting forward the timing in which he activates beyond the defensive line is great. Defensively, he is resolute in his tackles and positionally sound.
Zaiden Cook | CB | 2024 Grad | Astra Academy
Cook strutted around at the back and didn’t get beat once to a ball or in behind for pace. On the ball he was calm as could be regardless of the opponent’s press, while defensively he was a brick wall. His positioning both in and out of possession was fantastic. He deservedly won the defensive MVP
Nnamdi Ndubuka | CB | 2024 Grad | Saskatoon Alliance
Ndubuka is a hard-nosed, athletic defender who can win any challenge, but also play out of the back with ease. His strength allows him to hold most attackers to simply looking to play backwards, rather than beat him and when they do, a heavy tackle is incoming. He also showed his composure on the ball throughout the event.
Hao Tran | CDM | 2024 Grad | Saskatchewan Whitecaps Academy
Tran quietly impacted his games so effectively sitting as a pivot, while keeping his team ticking. He won the ball back usually, by his positioning and timing as he didn’t need to win many tackles. On the ball, he was a pendulum keeping his team moving at the right pace, making good and incisive passes.
Ethan Regnier | CM | 2023 Grad | Prince Albert Celtics
Regnier is a modern box-to-box midfielder who has a bit of everything in his game. Defensively, he works his socks off and will get stuck in whenever needed but refuses to take a play off. On the ball, he can break the lines of the opposition by passing beyond them or beating a defender in a 1v1 situation.
Samuel Kiunga | CM | 2023 Grad | Prince Albert Celtics
Kiunga is a left-footed, physically imposing central midfielder that can take over a game on his own. He’s big, strong, and fast with the ability to glide past defenders at ease. Kiunga is also technical and retains possession well. Defensively, he works incredibly hard to make sure he’s equally as imposing as a defender.
Koen Petryna | CAM | 2024 Grad | FC Regina
Petryna is a clever and shift attacking midfielder who loves to break the lines of the opposition. Whether that’s by dribbling, passing, or receiving the ball, he’s always finding ways to beat the defensive line. His movement is clever and patient and he possesses the ability to produce chances for himself and his teammates.
Maksym Kononenko | RW/LW | 2023 Grad | Queen City United SC
Kononenko is a rapid, direct winger who looks to turn defenders inside out on his way to goal. He has excellent technical skill and can beat defenders by driving past them or cutting inside centrally to connect with teammates. Kononenko can threaten the space in behind just as well as his speed and ball striking pose a continual dilemma for defenders.
Ololade Olaleye | ST | 2026 Grad | Forge FC
Olaleye is a technical striker whose movement and vision is fantastic for his age. His movement makes it difficult for defenders to try and use their strength against them. Olaleye brings his teammates into the game so effectively and makes his teammates around him better.
Finnley Muller | LW/CAM | 2025 Grad | Saskatchewan Whitecaps Academy
Muller loves to take fullbacks on in 1v1 situations to produce a chance for himself or a teammate. He has a phenomenal attitude and work rate that won’t stop until the whistle has blown. He’s so positive in his play as he always looks to put defenders on the back foot, while working tirelessly defensively up and down the line.
