The FTF Toronto Summer Combine, held at David Suzuki and St. Jean Augustine in Brampton, from July 14th to 16th, was a vibrant showcase of talent! The three-day event kicked off with testing on Day 1, featuring the 40-yard dash, 5-10-5 agility test, fitness assessment, and vertical jump. Days 2 and 3 focused on gameplay, offering players the opportunity to be coached by college coaches from across North America. These competitive matches allowed participants to impress the attending coaches, both in person and via live stream. The combine was an exciting display of skill, and we are eager to highlight the top performers:
Overall MVP – Rayhan Emritte | CDM/CM | Toronto United FC | 2027 Grad
Rayhan Emritte is a complete midfielder who checks every box for a midfielder and was the overall MVP for a reason. Always scanning the field by checking his shoulder, he finds space quickly and makes smart decisions. Rayhan stays calm, cool, and collected with and without pressure, showing great composure with the ball. On defense, he brings intensity and aggression, winning duels and stopping plays with confidence. His balance of vision, control, and toughness makes him a key player in both attack and defense. Rayhan leads by example and lifts the level of everyone around him.
Goalkeeper MVP – Alexander Naradone | GK | Tecumseh United | 2027 Grad
Alexander Naradone stood out as the Goalkeeper MVP with an impressive all-around performance. Calm and confident with the ball at his feet, he helped his team build from the back under pressure. In the air, he was fearless and aggressive, coming out strong to win crosses and corners. His quick reflexes made him a strong in goal, stopping shots from all angles. He also showed great leadership by being vocal, constantly organizing and encouraging his teammates. Alexander’s presence in net brought confidence to the entire team and was a key part of his team’s defense.
Defender MVP – Emilio Reyes | CB | Richmond Hill Raiders | 2027 Grad
Emilio Reyes stood out as a top defender and was named Defender MVP. He stayed calm with the ball at his feet and always made smart decisions under pressure. On defense, he was aggressive, strong, and never backed down from a challenge. His positioning was excellent, allowing him to break up plays and stop attacks before they became dangerous. Emilio also led his team with his voice, constantly communicating and helping organize the back line. His mix of skill, strength, and leadership made him a key part of the team’s success on the field.
Midfielder MVP – Alexander Boudreau | CAM | Auroura FC | 2027 Grad
Alexander Boudreau stood out as a top midfielder, earning the Midfield MVP. He plays with a lot of creativity and confidence, always looking for smart plays. His ball control is strong, and he stays calm under pressure, making smart decisions even in tight situations. Alexander has excellent positioning, often finding open spaces that others miss. His vision on the field is sharp, and he makes accurate passes that help move the game forward. With his talent, focus, and leadership, he made a big impact every time he stepped onto the field.
Attacker MVP – Azarias Sackrule-Watt | ST | Burlington Force | 2027 Grad
Azarias Sackrule-Watt was a standout striker. He is showed amazing agility and excellent dribbling skills, making him hard to stop on the attack. His finishing is sharp, and he’s always a scoring threat in the box. Azarias applies constant pressure on defenders, often winning the ball back with his aggressive play. His speed is one of his biggest strengths, with quick acceleration and fast sprinting ability, he can outrun most defenders. Azarias consistently led the front line with energy, skill, and a strong desire to score and win.
