FTF Bundesliga ID Camp 2026

This past week, FTF Canada hosted the highly anticipated Bundesliga Youth ID Camp at Huron Park in Mississauga, Ontario, bringing together some of the top young soccer talent from across the country for two days of high-level competition, evaluation, and international exposure.

Held on Monday, May 25th and Tuesday, May 26th, the event provided players born between 2011 and 2008 with a unique opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of professional scouts, academy representatives, and agents from both North America and Europe.

Representatives in attendance included officials from German club Union Berlin, Austrian powerhouse Rapid Vienna, Dutch side FC Emmen, Portuguese club FC Porto, CPL side Inter Toronto, and Smart Football International, with additional organizations following the event closely through match footage and player evaluations.

Throughout the camp, players competed in two matches per day in a highly competitive environment designed to replicate the intensity and demands of the professional youth game. Coaches, scouts, and evaluators closely monitored players across all positions, focusing on technical quality, decision-making, athleticism, mentality, and overall potential to compete at the next level.

The level of talent on display throughout the event was exceptional, with many players standing out through their work rate, composure on the ball, tactical understanding, and ability to perform under pressure. The event not only highlighted the growing depth of Canadian youth soccer talent but also reinforced the increasing international interest in Canadian players.

One of the major objectives of the ID Camp was to create direct pathways for players into professional youth academies abroad, particularly within Germany and across Europe. At the conclusion of the event, a number of standout performers were identified for potential trials and further evaluation opportunities with professional clubs and partner organizations. These opportunities will depend on individual performances during the camp as well as continued assessments from attending evaluators and scouts.

In addition to the on-field experience, all matches were professionally recorded and will be made available for player download, allowing participants to use the footage for future recruiting and development purposes. Players also received professional headshots during the event, helping further support their player portfolios and exposure opportunities.

The FTF Canada Bundesliga Youth ID Camp continues to establish itself as one of the premier international showcase platforms for aspiring Canadian players looking to take the next step in their development and pursue opportunities at the professional and academy levels abroad.

FTF Canada would like to thank all participating players, families, coaches, scouts, agents, and club representatives for helping make the event a tremendous success.
