The FTF Toronto Girls Combine, held in Brampton, Ontario on July 16th and 17th, showcased remarkable talent. The event provided an exceptional platform for players to demonstrate their skills and athleticism. It offered a unique opportunity for attendees to be seen by collegiate coaches from both Canada and the USA, potentially paving the way for their future soccer careers. Below are a list of exceptional standouts at the event
GK MVP: Charlotte Murray-Martin, the 2026 Grad GK for Ottawa South United showcased remarkable shot-stopping prowess and exceptional distribution skills. Her vocal leadership from the back played a crucial role in organizing her team’s defense and keeping them composed under pressure. Additionally, her strong stature provided a commanding presence in the goal, further bolstering the team’s confidence.
Defensive MVP: Mayah Robinson, the 2026 Grad defender for AIFC, is known for her strength, athleticism, and technical ability. She excels in 1v1 situations, consistently outmaneuvering opponents with her precise defending. Not afraid to get forward, Mayah would often make bolting runs in the attack, combining with her teammates and creating additional scoring opportunities for her teammates.
Midfield MVP: Vanessa Kaminski Roth, the 2026 Grad midfielder playing for BVB Waterloo, is a dynamic central midfielder known for her box-to-box capabilities. She excels as a number 6 or a deep-lying playmaker, adept at picking up the ball in tight spaces. Her ability to creatively escape pressure with precise passing or skillful dribbling makes her a crucial asset to the team.
Attacking MVP: Melisa Kekic, the top goal scorer of the combine and a 2026 Grad ST from North Toronto Nitros, is an absolute poacher who scores goals for fun. She excels at closing down defenders and pressing at the right moments, making her a constant threat. With the ability to finish with both her left and right foot, she also possesses excellent hold-up and link-up play, making her a versatile and extremely dangerous striker.
Young Player MVPs :
Ke-Arra Edwards, the 2028 Grad midfielder/defender for FC Durham, exudes composure on the ball, making the game look effortlessly simple. Her high football IQ and maturity beyond her years allow her to make smart decisions on the field. Additionally, her athleticism enhances her overall performance, making her a key player in any lineup.
Olivia Tapping, the 2028 Grad creative midfielder for Hamilton United, absolutely bossed the competition around her with her exceptional skills. Her soccer IQ is extremely high, perfectly complemented by her remarkable technical ability. With all the tools to become a high-profile player, she is one to watch for the U15 Canadian national team.
Overall MVP: Maja Cenanovic, the 2026 Grad electric winger for MSA Rebels, excels in 1v1 situations with her direct style of play. Never afraid to take on a defender, she is incredibly sharp on the ball and consistently creative with her dribbling technique. Her ability to break down defenses with her agility and flair makes her a constant threat on the field.
