U15 Boys Final:
The U15 Boys final featured Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC and Surrey United, the two teams representing BC at the upcoming 2026 PDP Canadian National Championships in Montreal, Quebec. The first half was tightly contested, as CMFSC held the majority of possession, while SUSC defended well before, absorbing pressure and looking to threaten in transition. The game turned when CMFSC converted a late first half penalty, which was swiftly followed by a red card for SUSCโs striker for a second bookable offense. CMFSC controlled the second 40-minute half and scored a third goal to seal the championship, as the match ended 3-0.
Michael Suh | ST | Coquitlam Metro Ford SC | 2029 Grad
Suh demonstrated why heโs one of the most dangerous attacking prospects in the 2011 age group. He is rapid and constantly looking to stretch the opponents backline by threatening the space in behind. On the ball, Suh can shift to either side and only needs half-a-yard to force an opposing goalkeeper into action. He calmly slotted his penalty shot, after shifting past the defender and getting fouled in the box on the stroke of halftime.
Ezra Brustolin | CDM | Coquitlam Metro Ford SC | 2029 Grad
Brustolin controlled the tempo of the match from the offset. Sitting at the base of CMFSCโs midfield triangle, he broke up attacking threats from the opponents, as well as keeping his side in possession and breaking pressure with clever outlets. Brustolin reads the game very well and showed greater maturity as the game progressed, as he created more overloads after the sending off, executing his role to perfection.
Todor Krsmanovic | CAM | Coquitlam Metro Ford SC | 2029 Grad
Krsmanovic was the creative driving force during the final for CMFSC. Always looking to pick up the ball in the half space, he drove the attack either from pockets of space. Krsmanovic always found the ball on the half turn, forcing opposing defenders to drop an extra yard, providing the space to find progressive passes to create chances for his teammates.
Brayden Bains | CAM | Surrey United FC | 2029 Grad
Bains is a wiry and electric player, who has the rare ability to be a goal threat from nearly anywhere on the pitch. He effortlessly glides across the pitch with or without possession, as opposing defenders struggle to get near him. With the ball, Bains can beat players in 1v1 situations, or pick passes to break the lines of any defensive structure. Even after going down to 10-men, Bains was a threat that looked to change the outcome of the final until the final whistle.
Samuel Mao | GK | Surrey United FC | 2029 Grad
Mao was constantly under duress during the match, but stood tall and demonstrated his exceptional shot stopping ability. Mao did just about everything in his power to keep the scoreline close as he made numerous saves to keep it close, and provide SUSC with a chance to get a result.
Vlad Rusan | CB | Surrey United FC | 2029 Grad
Rusan tirelessly worked throughout the duration of the 80-minute match, showing no signs of slowing down, even when his side was reduced to 10-men. He is tall, athletic, and strong, making it very difficult to get the better of Rusan in a duel. He seemed to grow stronger in the second half, as more pressure built up, being down a player, and playing as the right sided centreback as his team tried to push more numbers forward to try and get back in the game.
